Hi there, I'm Sofia
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Lisbon, Portugal.
Several years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Portugal wasn't in the grand plan. Like many overseas assignments, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The early months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, routines, and expectations. Everyday chores seemed more tangled than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
Culture shock, doubt, and a lot of on-the-job learning were present. Yet gradually routines emerged. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something steady.
Why I Built FywyjErisoNonylTada
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation tips or shallow travel content. What was missing was a candid, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Portugal.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Practical know-how gained from living in Portugal
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site is not:
- A tourism authority resource
- A platform for paid reviews
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Portugal continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
Sofia
